Some of my music from "Something Still Cool"
I lived in Battery Park City, was home at the time of the attacks, walking casually towards the River when the first tower began to collapse and ran inside another building just beating out the black cloud that enveloped the neighborhood for an hour. I was evacuated soon after and not allowed back home until 11 days later, depending on the generosity of a friend evacuated with me who had somewhere else for us to go, and many strangers and acquaintances during those 11 days. There's a lot more to the story which lasted way beyond the 11 days for those of us living near Ground Zero, and my professional jazz-singing opportunities tanked for quite some time during recovery. I was in the process ofmaking my first CD before 9/11 and didn't complete it until 2008. I'd love for you to play some of that album and can supply tracks if you choose.
